*Important note: Shy would like to emphasize that these Imperial Guard dragons, while technically clutch mates, were genetically created as the first of a new line. They are NOT related to each other. He expects them to grow up, become strong, confident dragons, and breed.
Imperial Guard dragons are born crestless and hornless, growing into their features during their fledgling years.
** Dragons from the first Imperial Guard are “medium sized”, from 10″ – 14″ at the shoulder. They generally follow Pernese dragon sizes (gold being the largest blue/green being the smallest) but I do not have the strongest grasp of dragon sizes, so please use your discretion. (Unless explicitly stated below)
Rycroft [Celeanor]

Imperial Shield King Sithiath
Gender: Male (Referred to as a “King”, as opposed to Pernese “Queen”)
Special Notes: Sithiath is a stunning example of a “queen”, large, molten gold in color (Shy claims the shade is purely a coincidence) with strong augmented abilities that seem to have been fine tuned to support and enhance his bond. He seems to have a secret of his own, and tends to act a little bit wiser and more mature than other dragons his age.
Plot Points: Poor Rycroft has gained his own following in the Labs, and now that he has bonded with the only “Queen”, Shy has firmly requested that the Herald stay as a permanent member of the Vella Crean. He has been asked to take on a position with the Council to protect the Empress, at least part time. Gossi’s Tavern has now gained renown as Rycroft’s original home. (Monique insists to all that will listen that the Empress’ tower is his new home now).
Rin [Shard]

Imperial Sword Bronze-Queen Kalisadath
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Kalisadath has very, very strong holy magic, and delights in causing chaos and seeing just how different a blend it is from Aegeria’s. Some of the Projects believe that Kalisadath’s own unique blend should be called “unholy magic”, but Shy doesn’t like the way that rolls off the tongue.
Plot Points: Shy has expanded his quarters and has built out permanent rooms for Rin and Raiden, to come and go as they see fit. He is constantly looking to tweak his creations, and finds the pair very inspiring. (Which to Ari is a Bad Thing). The Scientist has invited Rin and Raiden to visit Shan at the Empyrean Stair with him; there will be Monsters, and wouldn’t a family reunion be delightful?
Raiden [Shard]

Imperial Shield Bronze-King El’ Hamith
Gender: Male
Special Notes: El Hamith is more gold than bronze, with an overly heightened ‘naughty and nice’ ability passed on through genetic tampering. With a highly attuned ability to identify the motive and intent of others, El’ Hamith has a highly specific acid and poison talent that can be effectively neutralized by Inaras Thain only.
Plot Points:Shy has expanded his quarters and has built out permanent rooms for Rin and Raiden, to come and go as they see fit.
Sabrilla [Mystic]

Imperial Shield Bronze Kalpanath
Gender: Male
Special Notes: The dominant leader of the guards, Kalpanath is proud, noble, and incredibly disciplined. His offensive abilities seem to be a little weaker than his clutchmates, but he makes up for it with a strong reservoir of strength that allows him to continuously augment Kanishkath’s abilities. Kalpanath has not bonded to Sabrilla, and will not truly bond in the future: however, he will be able to lead and sponsor many soldiers for his army. The small bird that lives in Kanishkath’s wingsail has been seen to visit the guard on occasion.
Plot Points: Kalpanath has a strong urge to grow his “family” (said in a heavily accented mafioso tone). He will grow to be one of the largest Shields, and is very, very protective and disciplined. Kanishkath has a great general by her side. Shy promises Sabrilla there are more to come: five of each, eventually. But they need to space it out a little bit, no?

Imperial Shield Brown Imanith
Gender: Male
Special Notes: : Imanith is a brown Shield. Does his hide seem to hold a distinct bronze sheen? Sometimes. He has strong defensive capabilities, and has the ability to funnel some of Kanishkath’s gifts into very strong, very impressive shields. Imanith has not bonded to Sabrilla, and will not truly bond in the future: however, he will be able to lead and sponsor many soldiers for Kanishkath. The small bird that lives in Kanishkath’s wingsail has been seen to visit the guard on occasion.
Plot Points: Imanith is a good soldier, not a great general. He is very, very devoted to Kanishkath, and is a little bit of a stickler about rules.Shy promises Sabrilla there are more to come: five of each, eventually. But they need to space it out a little bit, no?

Imperial Shield Purple Madhavith
Gender: Male
Special Notes: Madhavith’s gifts seem to lie in shadows and sneak attacks. His Shield abilities literally allows him to shield and hide sentient and non sentient objects. Madhavith has not bonded to Sabrilla, and will not truly bond in the future: however, he will be able to lead and sponsor many soldiers for Kanishkath. The small bird that lives in Kanishkath’s wingsail has been seen to visit the guard on occasion.
Plot Points: Shy might try to use Madhavith’s gifts to smuggle certain projects into Tris’ Hath, because he knows the Red Mage is always watching. The Shield is able to vanish and disappear, and also allow his compatriots to be invisible for short stretches of time.Shy promises Sabrilla there are more to come: five of each, eventually. But they need to space it out a little bit, no?
Faelyn [Dragonflight]

Imperial Sword Bronze Al’ Konith
Gender: Male
Special Notes: Al’ Konith is very attuned to Faelyn’s own abilities, and quite adept and manipulating shadows himself. He has a very delicate touch, and although he isn’t quite a team player, if Faelyn asks, he willingly works with Nayimath and Shajahanth.
Plot Points: Shy is quite fascinated by Faelyn’s fire and shadow manipulation, and regularly likes to invite him into the Labs to see if this is an ability he could genetically enhance and utilize in future Guard dragons.
Quart [Trix]

Imperial Shield Brown Aahilith
Gender: Male
Special Notes: Aahilth is very adept at working with his two clutchmates in creating almost impenetrable barriers; he is especially attuned to Salamasinath’s unique abilities despite not being bonded to Eeny. His wings hold the same cracked red markings as Salamasinath, and if you were to observe very carefully, you would realize the colors ebb and flow to match Salamasinath’s own hues exactly. Aahilith is a Big dragon. Most probably the size of a bronze.
Plot Points: The lab has grown very used to having Quart and Eeny around: Shy’s own team is trying to cajole and convince Quart to stick around and help them build out a fully formed, well trained Guard and bond team for the Empress.

Imperial Shield Blue Saadiyath (Sponsored)
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Saadiyath considers herself a little bit of a brood mother. She has not bonded to Quart, but considers him hers, and may be inclined to bond herself some time in the future. Her hide cracks and glows with the same markingsas Salamasinath, and if you were to observe very carefully, you would realize the colors ebb and flow to match Salamasinath’s own hues exactly.
Plot Points: Shiqinth the Imperial Blue who lives in the Labs is delighted to see another “blue” dragon, with such shiny markings.
Xuno Hong [Shard]

Imperial Shield Brown Khadith
Gender: Male
Special Notes: Especially attuned to earth elements, Khadith enjoys manipulating metal ore and has a strong ability to augment Xuno Hong’s earth bending abilities.
Plot Points: Shy intends to keep Xuno around. Maybe forever. He cajoles and bribes using Khadith’s development as an excuse, because with such a talented dragon, surely Xuno needs to stick close to “home” for longer. He needs a skilled strategist by his side. The Lab also recognizes Xuno as one of theirs, and has a tendency of helpfully changing their form to make it easier for Xuno to access what he needs.
Solin [Ziggy]

Imperial Shield Brown Darasanth
Gender: Male
Special Notes: Darasanth is a large and very stately, very proper brown. A little bit of a traditionalist and more a soldier than a general, he has a very strong reservoir of strength and potential that could be crafted into very beautiful shieldwork. Darasanth’s hide has odd metallic markings shimmer copper and bronze in the right light.
Plot Points: Ari has claimed Solin as hers. She needs all the help that she can get to run the labs: she knows Solin will have to stick around while her bonds are fledgling, and is looking into a plan to recruit Solin as a permanent aide once the Guards have graduated.

Imperial Sword Red Haoranth
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Hoaranth demonstrates a very strong offensive ability, targeted beams of light. She has a strong affinity with her shield clutchmate, and is able to create rather beautiful shields and “bullets”. She has a stunning hide that seems complementary to Darasanth’s with bright metallic markings that shift and shimmer in the light.
Plot Points: Ari has claimed Solin as hers. She needs all the help that she can get to run the labs: she knows Solin will have to stick around while her bonds are fledgling, and is looking into a plan to recruit Solin as a permanent aide once the Guards have graduated.
Beryl [Starfyre]

Imperial Sword Brown Nashwath
Gender: Non-binary
Special Notes: Nashwath’s elemental magic seems to specialize in highly concentrated bolts of static electricity and the ability to have their attacks pass through the void and between. Teleporting balls of static go! As a fledging it will probably be no more than an odd itch of static, growing in force as they mature.
Plot Points: Shy finds Beryl delightful, and is repeatedly requesting that he be able to send along an escort or a companion (or two) on her travels, so that he may collect some research samples.

Imperial Shield Green Habibath
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Habibath has not bonded per se to Beryl, but that own’t dissuade her on the fact that she considers Beryl “hers”. She has a dark set of markings just at the base of her wings that shift and seem to be a subtle copy of Aminath’s own markings. Habibath has the ability to augment Aminath’s abilities; taking Cavalier a step further.
Plot Points: Some of the residents like to follow Habibath around and talk about the Matrix. They mean it in jest, because surely Shy does not watch TV. Or old movies. Shy finds Beryl delightful, and is repeatedly requesting that he be able to send along an escort or a companion (or two) on her travels, so that he may collect some research samples.
D351-I [Dragonflight]

Imperial Sword Brown Zhaleth
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Zhaleth has a strong affinity with metal and ore. She thinks it is highly amusing to send little golem looking constructs down the hallways to startle the resident riders, and although her little golems are not sentient creatures, she is able to control the movements very well.
Plot Points: Imraan has built out quarters right next to his own for Desh, and they have become a very familiar and frequent sighting at the Vella Crean. They have helped built out some stunning stylized golems that decorate the towers, and Imraan plans on designing more for all of their residences across the Nexus.

Imperial Sword Blue Rahmath
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Rahmath likes to eat and consume anything, both nature and unnatural, in her path. She has a voracious appetite and sometimes likes to nibble on the buildings. Her hide shimmers, and if one was being poetic, they might compare it to the aurora borealis.
Plot Points:Imraan has built out quarters right next to his own for Desh, and they have become a very familiar and frequent sighting at the Vella Crean. They have helped built out some stunning stylized golems that decorate the towers, and Imraan plans on designing more for all of their residences across the Nexus.
Vaumeth [Shai]

Imperial Shield Purple Devdath
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Devdath is incredibly protective over Vaumeth, and seems to have a highly honed and fast reacting light shield that she can wield with speed. Devdath also has an oddly textured hide, that seems more like brindled fur. Due to her dark coloring, she is the type of dragon who blends in seamlessly with the night sky: making her quite the accomplished predator. I mean protector.
Plot Points: The dragons of the Vella Crean are delighted to welcome back one of their own, and are incessantly requesting that Vaumeth visit them more often. They have secrets, and plans, and the Counil wonders if they could recruit Vaumeth as an ambassador of sorts.
Calariel Steelfire [Yakima]

Imperial Shield Purple Ishtarith
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Ishtarith has an odd marking that seems to come and go, suspiciously similar to the markings on Menelith. Highly attuned to both her bond and the Imperial Bronze, she is able to augment and amplify Calariel’s spellcasting and bladesong. She has the odd tendency of “tasting” magic, and remarking on how it feels.
Plot Points: Shy may have tampered with Ishtarith a little bit, to ensure she can be of support to Menelith. Calariel has an open invitation to return to the Vella Crean at any time, and also has given her access to his residence at IGPC.
Liucheth[Starfyre]

Imperial Sword Purple Amalith
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Highly attuned to Liucheth’s imperial abilities, Amalith is especially sneaky good at communicating across all distances. Did Shy mean for the sword to be a communications tool with Clan Vecira? Maybe a little bit. Amalith is able to speak across impossible distances.
Plot Points: Amalith isn’t an albino, but she is “just as special as Liucheth”. Her hide shimmers, and as she ages, it may pale out until the purple markings are almost invisible. She is a highly social dragon who many at the Vella Crean may continuously keep tabs on.
Ekaivar [Nomi]

Imperial Shield Red Danikinith
Gender: Male
Special Notes: The markings are almost invisible because Danikinith is such a dark red, but he has rosettes along the base and top of his wings. Danikinith is a very, very large dragon. Most probably the size of a bronze, he is very adept at using his size and strength to intimidate and ward off others. Very territorial and protective of his “charge”, Danikinith can be very bullheaded. He is very attuned to Saniyath’s abilities, and is able to support and augment her abilities.
Plot Points: Maya the Weapons Master likes Ekaiver. As a student. Maybe as a potential second in command to help whip some of the guards into shape. She doesn’t want to lose him, and is trying to work out a schedule to “borrow” him whenever Sylden is visiting the Vella Crean.

Imperial Sword Green Saoireseth (Sponsored)
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Saoireseth has a strong affinity in understanding and extracting information from other species. She seems especially well calibrated to work for Saniyath; she has not bonded to Ekaiver, and would be able to bond in the future.
Plot Points: Saoireseth is proud. Sometimes, she is Shy’s favorite, especially if she drops by with information and genetic samples to share.
Kamali [Shai]

Imperial Shield Red Kumarith
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Kumarith has subtly mottled skin that allows her to blend in very seamlessly with her surroundings. (Yes. Somehow. Despite the fact that she is a red dragon). She is able to use it as a defensive mechanism: when feeling aggressive and violent, her hide does mottle in shade with bright, neon markings to “warn” off other predators. Very strongly attuned to their clutch mate, she is extremely protective over Kamali, and able to erect very quick shields.
Plot Points: Shy tampered with Kumarith to create a set of dragons that would allow Kamali a little bit more independence. He might have done this to get into Voivode’s good graces.

Imperial Shield Blue Kahalith
Gender: Male
Special Notes: Kahalith’s hide is normally a very deep, dark blue. However, when he feels threatened or is particularly cranky, it mottles with bright shades of metallic blue as a warning to other predators.
Plot Points:Shy tampered with Kahalith to create a set of dragons that would allow Kamali a little bit more independence. He might have done this to get into Voivode’s good graces.
Leosida [Nomi]

Imperial Sword Red Caciath
Gender: Female
Special Notes: : Caciath has a quietly passive ability that seems to promote healing around her. Nothing active or too noteworthy, just enough that people seem to feel better and things seem to go better when Caciath is around.
Plot Points: Leosida has an open invitation to work at the Labs and help Ari take care of the raptor herds. She may be invited shortly to vet and interview a few raptor handlers.
Cassia [Nomi]

Imperial Shield Blue Kausalyath
Gender: Male
Special Notes: Kausalyath is a small boned Shield, and surprisingly very adept at fitting into tight spaces. Maybe they like to grow teeny tiny small until they are the size of a hatchling. Maybe as long as you don’t catch him doing this, it doesn’t count as “magic”.
Plot Points: Kausalyath is going to cause such mischief at the Vella Crean, especially with Shiqinth. The Imperial blue delights in the fact that this blue can squeeze into the tiniest of spaces. Oh, the mischief they will cause!
Saria [Dragonflight]

Imperial Shield Blue Nayimath
Gender: Male
Special Notes: Attuned to Shajahanth and able to augment her abilities, Nayimath is especially adept at carrying around a little bit of ‘dread pirate’ and is able to demoralize the opponent on his own.
Plot Points: Nayimath has scales. Or hide. No one is quite sure, because the blue gets quite aggressive when people try to pet him. He is a great protector though, and delights in making sure Saria is proud of him.
Conradi Signet [Shard]

Imperial Sword Blue Capriath
Gender: Non-Binary
Special Notes: Shy insists that Void is an element. Maybe it is. Capriath is very, very good at sneaking into places they are not supposed to be.
Plot Points: Shy will sweet-talk and bribe his way into Conradi’s good graces to get him to remain at the Vella Crean and spy on the Death Court. It is a complete coincidence that Capriath has the abilities that they do.
Jiran [Nomi]

Imperial Shield Green Hedvikath
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Hedvikath is a large green who will probably be about the size of a brown dragon. She is heavy, sturdy, strong, and has an odd affinity for metal ore that allows Jiran to work her craft with obedient metals.
Plot Points: Ari has worked out an agreement with Jiran to source some highly malleable collars and accessories for the raptor queens and the raptor herds. It seems the raptors like shinies, and Ari is more than willing to oblige.
Eeny [Trix]

Imperial Sword Green Saaliath
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Saaliath is able to support and augment Salamasinath’s unique abilities. Enchantment and Abjuration last longer and are more potent when cast.
Plot Points: Many members of the Labs have taken a liking to Eeny, and are trying to convince her to stay with them. Shiqinth has especially grown fond of spending time with his clutchmate, and will most probably try to follow Salamasinath on her adventures. (In a completely platonic, let’s get into trouble kind of way!)
Voivode [Shai]

Imperial Sword Green Kaureth
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Kaureth has a strong affinity to blood magic, able to help channel energy to Caifeng and Voivode in small bursts of strength. Her markings bear a strong resemblance to Blood Court markings, and sometimes, when she uses a little too much power, they seem to glisten in the light.
Plot Points: Shy is very interested in Voivode’s talents, and is trying to get a genetic sample to run his own tests. He will always be cordially invited to stay and have a cup of tea at the Vella Crean.
Shan’s Guards

Imperial Shield Black Ehjlath
Gender: Male
Special Notes: Ehjlath is a dominant Imperial Shield. You do not Mess With Him, and he has a particularly keen eye in making sure that those who might upset Alarith and his rider are kept under close scrutiny. Sometimes this has Shy feeling a little bit nonplussed, but what are you going to do? Ehjlath has black markings on his body that are a little difficult to see, but they pick up the same pattern as Alarith and the other guards.
Plot Points: Ehjlath’s wings are scattered with molten gold markings that seem to glimmer in the right light. Purely for aesthetical reasons only, (Because. Shy) they are a nod to the markings the other Guards have that properly follow Alarith’s.

Imperial Sword Purple Yamareth
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Yamareth knows she is fabulous, and loves nothing more than to volunteer her help and support to any and all of Shan’s activities. She’s like a second generator, with a keen ability in being able to push through raw power when and where Alarith/Shan may require it.
Plot Points: She is very curious, and a little bit over eager. She may be a little bit of a troublemaker in her youth.

Imperial Shield Green Rouhith
Gender: Female
Special Notes: Rouhith has the oddest of abilities. Maybe Shy was feeling a little too playful, or the antics of Glitter and Paperweight amused him. Sometimes, this green shield seems to fleck off gold glitter. Just tiny shiny traces of molten gold dust.
Plot Points: Rouhith is a sweet and mild mannered Shield. She’s a good balance between the playful and over eager antics of Yamareth and Ehjlath’s more domineering personality able to bring the two polar opposites together.
Xiao Shy’s Guards

Imperial Shield Red Lanneth
Gender: Male
Special Notes:
Lanneth is ruby red. Maybe Shy was a little bit over eager with this one, fine tuning his hide so that it glistens and sparkles in such a way that he is a hair shy of being gaudy. Lanneth is stunning, and yet, compared to some other Guards who are very proud of their physical appearance, this dragon sees it simply as a means to an end. Yes, he is quite beautiful. So?
Lanneth, like Apoleoth and little ‘Davo, has wingsails that seem to shift and move when one is not paying too much attention. Almost a game of hide and seek as the lotus blossoms bloom, or the branches shiver. There are a pair of birds that flitter from between the three dragons (and others, who knows? Apoleoth is not telling, and neither will his general).
Plot Points: Named after Jean Lannes, a french military commander and Marshal of the Empire who was one of Napoleon’s most daring and talented generals. (According to Wikipedia).

Imperial Sword Red Davouth
Gender: Male
Special Notes: Ah. If there was a dragon who took after the geneticist, it may be little Davo. Sneaky and sly with a gifted mind when it comes to his own magical abilities, he likes to preen and saunter, hold his wings upright just so to let the light shine through and the flowers bloom. This little sword is a talented magic user, and is quite the ambitious one.
Plot Points: Named after louis-Nicolas d’Avout, Marshal of the Empire and one of Napoleon’s finest commanders.
